What does this mean for you?
Well this will only affect you if you submit a product feed to Yahoo or to PriceGrabber. On March 11, 2010 Yahoo! Shopping will pull it’s product feed from PriceGrabber. The email I received states that “It will give you the opportunity to list your products either on Yahoo! Shopping only or on both Yahoo! Shopping and PriceGrabber.”
The benefit is that it will be 1 less product feed. The downside side is tracking and transparency. You will have to monitor the traffic yourself. I myself prefer to track as many sites where I am spending money as individual sites. I feel more comfortable and it give me more control over the traffic clicking on my links. Since this is only a very small bit of traffic for me at this time I won’t worry about it.
If you don’t yet have a PriceGrabber account setup, do it before March 11, 2010 and all setup fees will be waived!
